RENTALS FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS
Welcome to Bath United Methodist Church!
We have a beautiful building, location, and property that we would love to share with you!
The church is available for celebrations, anniversary parties, weddings, funerals, and other gatherings.
LOCATION
Conveniently located in the midcoast area of North Bath, we offer a beautiful setting, a well-maintained building, and ample parking. Approximately 40 minutes from Portland International Jetport and 10 minutes from downtown Bath and the waterfront park. There are two local hotels and many B&Bs in our area. Local attractions are Popham Beach, Reid State Park, Maine Maritime Museum, and Bath Front Street.
BRIGHT AND OPEN INDOOR SPACE
Our main room, where we hold our services, is a bright, modern space with air conditioning, easy access from a side door, and adjoins a kitchen for easily serving guests. Approximately 4000 square feet.
The large multi-use room holds approximately 80 people, equipped with chairs and tables for the space. A small vestibule is also situated next to the main room in the hall, allowing for extra seating for approximately 20 more.
PRIVATE ROOM UPSTAIRS WITH ELEVATOR
There is also a library room upstairs, accessible with an elevator for a private space or small meetings.
Restrooms are handicapped accessible on the first floor, down a hall at the back of the building.
PARKING AND HANDICAPPED ACCESS
The church has a large parking lot and offers several reserved handicapped spots in front, next to a sidewalk. There is also a circular drive right in front for easy drop-off and pick-up.
LOADING ACCESS
For easy and quick loading of event supplies, the main room is accessible through the front lobby and also a side door that connects to a driveway. There is also another side door that connects to the kitchen from that same driveway.
Elevator access to the second floor is in the front lobby, with stairs situated nearby.
The circular front driveway allows for easy loading and unloading.
INDUSTRIAL KITCHEN
We have an industrial kitchen that can prepare dinners and events, serving approximately 100 people. Large refrigerator and freezer, a restaurant-quality gas stove, and large stainless steel workspaces offer a roomy and perfect place to prepare your feast or reception.
OUTDOOR SPACE
Our large 7 acre property has a small garden on the side of the circular drive planted with spring and summer flowers and has an arch appropriate for any special ceremony.
The field adjoining the main building is also available and has a playground at the edge with seating.
Along the ridge of our property at the back and overlooking the river is a wilderness trail, and look-out spot, and a seating area. This is accessible by path on the side of the parking lot.
PERMISSIONS AND CONTRACT
We offer our space for rentals for special occasions. Please contact us for more information.
NON PROFITS
Non-profit community groups that need regular space are encouraged to reach out. Groups that use our space sign a contract and contribute donations to assist with building expenses. We currently sponsor an AA group, Girl Scouts, and the Bath Area Backpack program.
