Worship with us!

11:15 am  - 12:30 pm each Sunday

We look forward to reflecting on faith and praising God together each week. Please join us for fellowship in a traditional service.

Followed by coffee and refreshments.

Our worship

What to Expect

There will be someone to greet you at the door and answer any questions you might have. If you are comfortable in so doing, you may fill out a name tag; most worshipers will be wearing one. We gather together as a multi-generational church, so worship includes traditional and more casual styles. Feel free to grab a cup of coffee or tea in the worship space, which is in the fellowship hall. Worship includes times for prayer, singing, reading of Scripture, and responding to God's Word in meaningful ways, and generally lasts just over an hour.

What about my children?

Children are always welcome to stay in worship with their family. Nursery care for infants and toddlers is provided during worship, and there is a craft table available for children who stay in worship.

How should I dress?

Some enjoy dressing up and others dress casually - we recommend whatever is most comfortable for you. There is a coat room just through the entryway.

Where do I park?

The church has a large parking lot that includes several reserved handicapped spots in front. There is also a drop-off circle. If you need assistance, one of the greeters will be happy to help you.

Communion

Do you celebrate Holy Communion?

Yes!  All are welcome to receive, but there is also no pressure to do so. We usually receive by intinction, which means you will be given a piece of bread (or request a rice cake from your server) to dip in the cup to eat, which becomes for us a symbol of the body and blood of Christ to nourish and sustain us in our faith. Communion or “the Lord’s Supper” can also be a sign of placing one’s trust in Christ or renewing that commitment and knowing God’s forgiveness and healing.  We generally celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month in worship. All are welcome.

Thank you for your interest in Bath United Methodist Church. We hope to see you this Sunday!

Is there anything else I should know?

The only thing you need to know is that we love our church family, and we love to welcome everyone and anyone to join us!

Traditional Worship Service

We have a traditional and simple worship service. Our screen shows the readings and words to the music. Take a look at our YouTube service recording to see a typical Sunday service.

Nursery and Playroom

A nursery room and a childcare playroom are available for young children. Notification of childcare needs is appreciated, but not required.

Reflection and quiet time

Our church is open for private prayer and community socializing on Sundays from 10 am - 1 pm. We have a library and a quiet room, called the Tower Room, on the second floor, where you have time to peruse our collection of books and literature, as well as have a quiet time and place for reflection.

YouTube recordings of each week's Sunday service.

The service is recorded and posted on YouTube if you would like to see a typical service. These are usually posted on Mondays.

Access to the church during the week

We currently have an elementary school that runs out of the second floor of our church building, and therefore, the church doors are usually locked during the weekdays, even if we are there. If visiting during Julie's office hours or to meet a person of the church committee or community, just ring the bell and they can meet you out front and let you in. Please call ahead to make sure there isn't a change in our scheduled office hours.
