Pastor Alice Mello
Pastor Alice joined our congregation on Sunday, July 12th, 2026. We welcome her to the Bath United Methodist Church family!
Alice has served as a Local Licensed Pastor for the past three years and brings a heart for compassionate, Christ-centered ministry rooted in prayer, Scripture, healing, and community care.
Before receiving her local license, she also served the wider church through supply preaching and involvement in other areas of congregational life. She has often served alongside her husband, Jim, who is also a pastor.
Her professional background includes work in the addiction field and as a Certified Nursing Assistant—roles that strengthened her commitment to meeting people where they are and walking alongside them with dignity and hope.
Family is central to her life, and she also values healthy practices of self-care, rest, and renewal.
Outside of ministry, she enjoys time with loved ones and the open road on her Harley-Davidson.
As she begins her ministry in Bath, her vision is to build a church family that grows deeper in spirituality and in numbers—inviting new neighbors, extending genuine hospitality, and creating clear pathways for people to connect, belong, and serve as the congregation shares God’s love in practical ways throughout the community.
Lay Leader Rian Lewis
The lay leader is the primary representative and role model of Christian discipleship and faith lived out in the church and daily life. The lay leader works with the pastor to fulfill the mission and vision of the congregation. Every new lay leader brings unique gifts to the congregation.
Rian is especially gifted as a musician and regularly leads worship music on guitar, bass, and keyboard. Rian also serves as a supply preacher when the pastor is on vacation. Rian lives with his wife, Cheryl, in Woolwich, Maine.
Church Secretary
Our congregation volunteers serve as secretary in the interim as we search for someone to fill this role.
Church Office Hours and Accessibility
We currently have an elementary school that runs out of the second floor of our church building, and therefore, the church doors are usually locked during the weekdays, even if we are there.
If visiting during the open office hours or to meet a person of the church committee or community, just ring the bell, and they can meet you out front and let you in.
Please call ahead to make sure there isn't a change in our scheduled office hours.
